SHARED BY ALL ELEVEN SCHOOLS
Learn to learn
Choose one question. Work through these six steps. Keep one page of evidence of what you learned.
01
Ask a specific question
Replace “I want to understand science” with “Why can two percentage changes describe the same numbers?”
02
Find and compare evidence
Locate an original source. Note its date, scope, and what it does not establish.
03
Explain without looking
Write three sentences in your own words. Mark the point where you get stuck.
04
Try a task
Calculate, draw, compare, or make something. Check it against the stated goal.
05
Use it somewhere new
Change the numbers or setting. Can you still explain why your method works?
06
Revise and return
Write what changed your mind and a question to revisit later.
Start now
Try the percentage exercise, then explain it to someone without showing the answer.
