用英语读懂数字

读出数据变化，并说明数字不能证明什么。

阅读原创句子：The number of readers increased from 20 to 30。from给起点，to给终点。增加人数是10，相对增加为50%。可以说It increased by 10，或It increased by 50 percent，但不能把by和to随便互换。

如果比例从20%变成30%，差是10 percentage points，而相对变化仍为50%。说百分比时保留分母和对象：30 percent of the readers。只说30 percent，读者未必知道你在描述什么。

再加一句边界：This does not show why the increase happened。英语表达也需要科学判断。数据增长可能有多个原因，句子写得准确，不代表因果推断自然成立。
