Write a clear email
Write a short email with a clear purpose and request.
A short enquiry needs a purpose, necessary background, a specific request, and a polite close. Use a useful subject such as Question about Saturday’s workshop. Make it easy for the reader to see why you are writing.
Original example: Hello, I would like to join Saturday’s workshop. I am a beginner. Could you tell me whether I need to bring any materials? Thank you for your help. Best wishes, Lin. It supplies relevant context without unnecessary personal details.
Before sending, check dates, names, and attachments. If AI revises the wording, ask it not to add facts and compare the result with your draft. Fluency does not justify inventing a commitment to attend or pay.
Make your understanding visible
Write an email under 80 words asking whether Sunday’s activity suits beginners.
Compare with a reference response
Subject: Question about Sunday’s activity. Hello, I am interested in Sunday’s activity. I am a beginner. Is it suitable for someone with no previous experience? Thank you for your help. Best wishes, Mei.
