Build a sentence
Identify who does what and what the action involves.
In I read books, I identifies the person, read gives the action, and books tells us what is read. Change books to articles; the structure remains. Add every evening to say when. A short sentence can carry a complete message.
Another common pattern uses be for identity or state: I am a student. The book is useful. Compare I am tired with I read. One describes a state; the other an action. These are useful starting patterns, not the only structures English allows.
When revising, identify the subject and verb first. For an ordinary statement, I books read becomes I read books. I am read books is not the correct way to describe a reading habit. Smaller sentences make problems easier to locate.
Make your understanding visible
Write “I read one page every day,” then describe the book in another sentence.
Compare with a reference response
I read one page every day. The book is interesting. The first states an action and time; the second gives your evaluation, which others may not share.
